Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Collections Management Project
Client: Buffalo Music Hall of Fame
The project for the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame was three-fold. First was to assess their donations and determine the best practices for digitizing their collections with the intention that they be uploaded to the website as an online exhibit. Second was to develop a step-by-step Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the volunteers to follow when digitizing newly donated objects. Included in the SOP is an outline for writing labels for objects. And third was to develop and provide a draft of a Collections Management Policy.
Buffalo State Museum Studies students participating in this project were Bailey Boyer, Emily Constantin, Shannon Gilmartin, Asher Glazer, Ke Shi and Miggie Wong.
